Over the February half term (13th – 27th February 2016) we are offering the chance for your child to have a **free** spinal health check with our Chiropractor Dr Joe Williams (Chiropractor, not medical Doctor) or Dr Zoe Pantelios (Chiropractor, not medical Doctor)Chiropractors have been caring for children for more than a 100 years.
Many common childhood ailments will respond to this safe, natural form of health care. More and more parents— especially those who are already chiropractic patients themselves—are seeking chiropractic care for their children.
The spinal health check last approximately 30 minutes, you will meet your chiropractor, who will listen to any concerns you have over your child’s health, they will check your child’s spine, looking at their posture and how well they move. No treatment will be provided but recommendations, guidance and advice may be given.
The chiropractors will be giving up their time for FREE but do ask that a donation is made towards the charity Tree of Hope. A reasonable donation is £20. How do I know if my child needs a spinal health check.
Having your spine checked to see if it is working properly is a good thing to do. Adults get their spines checked all the time so why wouldn’t a child. From a young age we are taught how to look after our teeth; we know that regular brushing and visits to the dentist help keep our teeth healthy. Unfortunately spinal hygiene isn’t being taught so well and adults and children aren’t taking good enough care of their spines. We want to change that. There are some signs however which can indicate spinal problems. These include (but are not limited to):
– disturbed sleeping patterns
– breastfeeding difficulties in the very young
– restricted head or neck movement to one side
– one shoulder higher than the other
– headaches / migraines
– over activity or inability to concentrate
– restlessness
– growing pains
